Our story
A piece of Monopoli, since 1996
Caffè Roma 2000 opened on Via Lepanto in 1996 — in the Porto Rosso area, a few minutes from the centre of Monopoli — and never moved: it grew, it expanded, but it stayed what it has always been, the meeting point of Monopoli. There are children who came for a cone and now come back with their own kids.
Today, behind the counter you'll find Tommaso; in the gelateria, there's still father Mimmo, the owner and gelato master-maker, who churns the gelato every morning with the same care as day one. Our tartufo has become a small legend: some people drive in from the nearby towns just for it.
